VARGO™ Propels Automotive Distributer to Achieve Greater Output

COLUMBUS, Ohio—VARGO™ Companies, a leading provider of integration, software and equipment solutions for major fulfillment and distribution operations, recently designed and installed warehouse management solutions for HyTec Automotive.

HyTec Automotive is one of the world’s largest suppliers of water pumps for automobiles, light and heavy-duty trucks, and marine, high-performance and industrial applications. The company was plagued with an unsystematic order-fulfillment structure and was having difficulty pulling orders from thousands of SKU’s for both carton-size and pallet-size requests. To streamline systems in Hytec’s Columbus, Ohio, warehouse, VARGO™ Integrated Systems, one of three entities under the VARGO™ Companies’ umbrella, provided a power and gravity conveyor, racking, and a variety of storage components, including pushback, pallet flow dynamic and carton flow storage.

Within the last three months, the Columbus warehouse has increased output by 35 percent and achieved an average order fill rate of 98 percent. By eliminating its warehouse control system challenges, Hytec can focus on introducing new product lines and enhancing its presence in the global automotive market.
