Vice President Systems Engineering, VARGO™ Integrated Systems

Ysasi specializes in facility layout and design, business process redesign and warehouse control systems. With over 14 years of consulting and industry experience in the retail and retail direct industries, he helps to set VARGO™ apart from other organizations.

Prior to joining VARGO™, Ysasi worked with Sedlak Management Consultants, a supply chain consulting firm for the retail, manufacturing/wholesale and direct-to-consumer distribution industries. He leverages his engineering and consulting experience to develop both conceptual and detail distribution center designs.

Ysasi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Recent Career Accomplishments

  • Led an internal design team for Pier I Imports in the design, equipment procurement and relocation for a new 750,000-sq.-ft. facility in Ontario, California.
  • Planned, designed and project managed the installation of a narrow aisle reserve storage system and a pick to belt carton flow module for Victoria's Secret and Lane Bryant retail distribution centers.
  • Developed a mathematical model for Micro Center Inc. to measure the major operational processes within the current distribution facility. This initiative also included: designing an automated system, creating capital budget estimates, developing milestone schedules and preparing implementation plans.
  • Partnered with Exel Logistics to develop facility layouts, staffing requirements and estimated building startup costs for Toys R Us, Xerox USA and Xerox Mexico.
