Manager of Systems Engineering, VARGO™ Integrated Systems

As part of the VARGO™ team, Folsom is responsible for system concepting, design and interactive field engineering support.

His work history includes 13 years with Siemens-Dematic, now Dematic, in increasingly responsible project engineering roles. Prior to Siemens-Dematic, he spent 11 years with Jervis B. Webb Co., working his way from mechanical detail draftsman to project engineer and engineering supervisor.

Folsom is a graduate of the Manager Development and Sales & Engineering Development Programs at Rapistan Demag. He holds certifications in AutoDesk ACAD Release 14 and IBM Cadam Basic, and is a veteran of the United States Army.

Recent Career Accomplishments

  • Provided direct support for the system sales staff at Siemens-Dematic from preliminary concept through proposal submittal on major material handling systems.
  • Was directly responsible for high-speed sortation and integration at Siemens-Dematic, including overall system concept and analysis.
  • Managed all aspects of mechanical system design and integration at Siemens-Dematic, from time of sale through supervision of project teams, to system commissioning on major material handling systems.
