At VARGO™, Carty applies his extensive experience in materials, project, fulfillment, demand and logistics management to integrated systems projects. His 20 years of experience in the distribution and manufacturing environments, together with his industry and customer knowledge, put a practical spin to his technical expertise.

Since taking on the role of director of business development, Carty has secured new relationships and contract engagements with apparel distributors Mothers Work Inc., Coldwater Creek, and Steve & Barry’s, hard good distributors Arctic Cat and Central Power, and manufacturers such as Redemtech, Renosol and GenPak.

Carty has held several key positions, including Director of Parts & Service for Murray Inc., Senior Consultant at Sedlak Management Consultants, Project and Demand Manager for MTD Products, and Manager of Distribution and Logistics for Florida Tile Industries. Carty is a member of the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC), and helped found the central Ohio chapter of the organization. He attended The Ohio State University and North Central Technical College for Business Management.

Recent Career Accomplishments

  • Implemented new service sales channels at Murray Inc., resulting in increased sales, improved margins, lower operating costs and reduced labor as a percent of sales.
  • Coordinated the installation of a warehouse management system (WMS) for Kmart at their 600,000-sq.-ft. facility in Columbus, Ohio.
  • Developed phase-one concept and phase-two design of the installation of material handling equipment and the integration of a WMS for Limited Too, a retail distributor of girls' apparel and accessories, at their new 400,000-sq.-ft. facility in Etna, Ohio.
